An unusual pendant: a 9 mm freshwater pearl protected by a crown is set in a beaded collar. The crown is made of six half-arches decorated with small balls in relief to bring a medieval style. To perfect the French royal glow: a fleur-de-lis decorates the top of the crown and hides a bélière. The crown, like a joyful charm, is suspended from a fine classical chain of 42 cm, an intermediate ring can make it wiser on the neckline - 18-carat rose gold, weight 0.34 oz.
Details making the difference
The originality of this pendant lies largely in its three-dimensional side. Small balls in relief decorate the six half-arches of the crown to give a little medieval touch. A fleur-de-lys at the top of the crown hides the bélière and brings the French touch to this crown! The pearl well protected in the crown allows to wear this pendant throughout the days, our "Princesses" work nowadays!
Our stylist advice
I created this collection inspired by the crown because I love the object by itself, I wanted to retranscribe the crown in a three-dimensional way and not make a simple stylistic interpretation as many other jewelers.Moreover, I remembered the Andersen's tale "The Princess and the Pea", so I made a jeweler adaptation of this story: this famous pea which allowed to reveal a real Princess so that she could marry her Prince. My jewelry story is: when a Prince discovers a beautiful pearl, he crowns her Princess for life! What could be more majestic than a crown to protect its brilliance, a crown: yes, a golden cage: no!
